page size issue
I'm led to believe that the page size that NWP 3.0.2 uses is the default for the chosen system printer. One of my printers was set to A4, but I've made sure that it's using US Letter now. However, every time I create a new document in NWP and choose "Page Setup…", I see that the size is A4...

Update for High Sierra?
Has anyone tried NWP 2.1.7 with a beta of High Sierra?
Is there going to be a maintenance update?

Why don't you list some of those, then?

Re: When will we get a major upgrade of NWP?
I'm glad that you guys are satisfied, but NWP is neither close to flawless in UI nor bug-free, and the fact that the last two significant updates (2.0.4 and 2.0.2) have occurred approximately one year apart (since 2.0.4 was a very minor revision of 2.0.3), with 2.0.4 having been released almost a ye...

OK, having an updated look and feel may not be important to you, but what about support for versioning and autosave? I find it striking that aside from Pages (and *many* text editors), there really isn't good support for these features in word processors.

Re: When will we get a major upgrade of NWP?
I've been wondering the same thing. The last update occurred 10 months ago.
More importantly, NWP doesn't support useful new Lion/Mountain Lion features such as autosave. The UI is dated -- who uses drawers anymore?

Re: Changing icons in Safari
Can you post some more specific instructions on what is meant by "completely trash your prior copy of NWP v2"? I downloaded the fixed version and replaced the previous one but my Safari and Mail icons still have the little Nisus man (not that this isn't an improvement :) ) Weird. I didn't...

viewing footnotes/endnotes
Is it true that footnotes/endnotes can only be truly viewed (as opposed to rollover text) and edited in page view? If so, why?

Re: problems with footnote/endnote styles after Word '08 import
Probably the easiest is to remove the "Normal" style from all your endnotes. Place the selection in the endnote text area, select all, and then choose the menu Format > Paragraph Style > Remove Style . This will however remove all paragraph styles from your endnotes, which may not be want...

Re: problems with footnote/endnote styles after Word '08 import
I would be surprised if your imported endnotes really had just the "Normal" style applied. They probably have our "Endnotes" style applied, which is based on "Normal". To check, place the selection/caret in an endnote and see if the menu Format > Note Style > Endnote i...

how to turn off field shading for footnotes?
NWP shows footnotes in the main body text in gray field shading. Is there a way to turn this off? I can't seem to find anything in the preferences.

problems with footnote/endnote styles after Word '08 import
I imported an rtf file created in Word, and the endnotes, all in Word's endnote style, were switched to the "normal" style! I'm unclear as to how to fix this. It appears that Nisus Writer Pro 1.3.1 treats endnote/footnote styles differently from other paragraph styles, and so I'm unable to...

which macros are NWP-only?
I used to have Nisus Writer Express installed, and now I have NWP. I can see that there are duplicate macros (v.1 and v.3, for example). But in other cases, I'm not sure. How can I reduce the macro set to the latest NWP-only?
