Thanks Geoff. What I hadn't realised is that you set the tab stops in the paragraph style and not in the list style. Turning this back into a feature request discussion, it would be lovely to have a list of tab stops rather than just having them on the top ruler. Perhaps the list could be added to t...

You can't get away from having the tab (as far as I know) but you can set the tab to a very small gap in the Style Sheet. Hi Geoff, I was wondering about that but I couldn't see where to set the tab value for the bullet. I've actually done this manually now in my document and will keep an eye on th...

I have been using two row tables to creation captions for "figures". This works fairly well, though it would be nice to have something prebuilt specifically for this purpose and to include the capability for auto-numbering. There is another workaround for this, by using list styles. You c...

Another request/suggestion: I'd like to be able to make the Tooldrawer wider than is currently allowed.

Hi Martin, There was no style selected at all (as far as I can tell ... maybe because I didn't have a style called Normal nothing was displayed). Anyway, don't worry too much because as I worked through the document checking that everything had come in properly and that it was all laid out properly ...

Page Numbers in TOC

In a document that I am working on I have a number of appendices at the end of the document. Each one is created as a new section so that I can use page numbering such as A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, etc. I use the same style for the appendix headings as I do for the chapter headings but when I generate a Ta...

Yes, exactly right, I was to select all paragraphs without a paragraph style and apply my Body style.

As someone who has just downloaded and is trying out Nisus Writer Pro I thought that I would add to this thread with my initial thoughts and comments, some of which echo what others have said. However, before criticising anything I do want to say that I am really impressed so far and I am about 90% ...

Setting The Style For Unstyled Paragraphs

To help me evaluate Nisus Writer Pro I imported a pretty hefty document that I have been working on. It came across pretty well but since it was a Pages document that I exported to RTF and then opened it lost all of the styles that I had defined. This is not a major problem but it would save me a lo...

Shading Alternate Table Rows

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a macro that will shade alternate rows in a table. I am just trying out Nisus Writer Pro and I am really impressed and the whole area of macros intrigues me, especially if they can be used instead of performing peretitive tasks.
