Re: NWP 2, panes, and views
I certainly agree with your point that it would be nice to have the ability to have separate views. And I have no doubt that the team has put it on their to do list for the future :) As for the workaround: it's true that the current view switcher button on the toolbar can't be reassigned. One could ...

Re: Pagination at top right corner
Yes, but Hamid you overlook the fact that the user also wanted the page number "to the right" of the header. That can only be done with a considerably uglier solution. Essentially you would have to move the page margin over, and then for all paragraphs you would have to move the text wrap ...

Re: NWP 2, panes, and views
thanks, but this is a tad too clunky for everyday use: wouldn't it be simpler if NW reverted to its old behavior? Really? I'm not sure I follow. You assign the macro a keyboard shortcut or a toolbar button and the functionality is pretty much indistinguishable from whatever way you are doing it now...

Re: NWP 2, panes, and views
As a possible workaround for this problem you could switch views with a macro:
You can adjust the macro to reflect the type of view like.
Code: Select all
Draft View
if Menu State “Show Rulers”
Show Rulers
end
if Menu State “Show Navigator”
Show Navigator
end

Re: Changing icons in Safari
Can you post some more specific instructions on what is meant by "completely trash your prior copy of NWP v2"? I downloaded the fixed version and replaced the previous one but my Safari and Mail icons still have the little Nisus man (not that this isn't an improvement )

Re: Footnote separator
And Nisus doesn't ? It does for me. You can adjust the kind of line you get to separate footnotes from the text if you switch to Style sheet view, and choose the footnote style.natan wrote:Word allows you to insert a two-inch line between footnotes and the body.

Re: Macros don't work
Hello Windsor,
without some more information it's hard to say anything. Where did you get these macros from? Are they Nisus macros or perl macros? Were you using the same version of Nisus?

Re: Text files + styles = lost work?
Actually perhaps there is room for improvement here. If you open a ".txt" file and then apply formatting, Nisus gives you only the options you show in that box. But perhaps Nisus should also give the option to change the extension and save as .rtf as well. And perhaps that option should ev...

"Save as" to a drop box
This may perhaps not be a Nisus problem, but I have noticed that it is not possible to use "save as" to save a file to the drop box of another user. A dialog tells me that I do not have permission for the relevant action. Why is this? Can anything be done about it? (Of course I can first s...

Re: Copying Cell Attributes?
What I would really like to see in this regard is the ability to control these things with macros. I guess there are several ways this could be implemented. If these "styles" were handled in the same way as other styles, then this woud presumably be one possible solution.

Re: Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
I am pretty sure that one is reproducible, since I was getting it regularly for a while. I'll have to think again about what set of steps I was using at the time to cause it.

By 'TOC' do you mean the navigator pane? In that case I am pretty sure I have experienced the same thing.

Re: Headings and Content - Automation
Yes, what you want is definitely possible. There are a number of ways to do it. One method is as follows: Define a heading style which has a list style as part of its definition. That way your headings will automatically be numbered in sequence. Make sure the list style you use is set to "conti...
