Re: Really slow reacting to typing in 3.0.1
I'm coming back to this, as the slow typing problem recurs. I'm currently working in a new document, it's got only about a thousand words, with no formatting so far, but suddenly the response time is terrible, and some typing just doesn't get registered at all. It's only in NWP, not in other applica...

Re: Really slow reacting to typing in 3.0.1
I've sorted it out now. I guess that the quarantine flag hadn't been cleared yet for the updated NWP. When I right-clicked in Finder and asked it to open, it gave the stupid message that it would allow Read Me.rtf to always open (rather than NWP). I think everything is correct now.

Re: Really slow reacting to typing in 3.0.1
OK, a restart does appear to have fixed things. But now I'm getting a different problem. If I double-click a file created by NWP, I get a message warning me that it couldn't be opened because it was from an unidentified developer: “Read Me.rtf” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified deve...

Really slow reacting to typing in 3.0.1
I'm running NWP 3.0.1, and it is really slow in showing what I am typing. I am often a few words ahead of what has appeared on screen. I know that my computer is nearly five years old (System Info says MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)), but other things work just fine. I have 16 MB of memory...

Re: Nisus importer making LibreOffice crash?
Problem solved. It seems that macOS was preferring a version of LibreOffice that had already been launched and gone through GateKeeper, but somehow pulled the importer from inside the NWP bundle. Opening the new version manually makes things work as expected.

Nisus importer making LibreOffice crash?
I recently updated LibreOffice from 5.2.4 to 5.2.5, but it now crashes on launch, and the crash log implicates Nisus: Process: soffice [5645] Path: /Applications/Nisus Writer Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/LibreOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice Identifier: com.nisus.LibreOfficeImporter Version: 5.0.1001 (0)...

Re: Pagination for Saddle-Stitched Booklet
I found where I got it. It's a free add-on as a PDF service. You can download it from:

Re: Pagination for Saddle-Stitched Booklet
I use an option in the print dialog. If you select the PDF menu in the lower left of the dialog, I at least have an option Create Booklet (see screen shot). It creates a temporary PDF which is already imposed. Screen Shot 2014-01-17 at 9.59.00.png I think it's a standard thing, as I can't find an in...

Re: Nisus crashes under Mavericks
That crash report looks to me as though the problem is one of the recent files. If you could get rid of the recent file list, that would help. Try deleting the file:
/Users/you/Library/Preferences/com.nisus.NisusWriter.LSSharedFileList.plist

Re: Page Break keyboard command
I prefer keyboard shortcuts. The one that drives me a bit bananas (and I've finally got around to posting on the forum) is Insert > Page Break. I could use it on my old full-sized keyboard but not on my notebook or my bluetooth keyboard. Both seem to have some keys removed to fit the keyboard into ...

Re: Running word count
If you go to the writing palette in the drawer (the one with the pencil), the last section is Statistics, and that has the running count of characters, words and paragraphs.

Re: Any way to vary position of Endnotes so they aren't last
Is there any reason you can't simply put the last part into a separate document? You could then set the page number to whatever is required after the document is complete. You could produce a final document as a PDF by printing both to PDF and combining them with Preview. Or you can do the majority ...
