Re: FR: make Unicode U+202F visible in Nisus Writer Pro
Thanks for the good suggestion! I'm surprised this character was omitted from "show invisibles" for so long. We should be able to add this invisible mark for the next Nisus Writer update.

Re: Just a Thanks
I have used this app daily (if not hourly) for the past 24 months. Without being overly dramatic it is a life changer for me. With well over 500,00 emails going back years I am able to find ANTHING in a matter of seconds... stress free. MacMail search without InfoClick is nothing more than a huge d...

Re: Just a Thanks
I too have been a user of InfoClick for some time and recently wanted to backup the database but couldn't find where it is stored. Its location may have changed over the years with upgrades to MacOS. I'm running Ventura 13.6.4 Anyone any idea of where it is? It's not mentioned in the prefs with any...

Re: NWP Bookends link does not work
Having same issue with scanning my citations. When I ask it to scan, Bookends processes it and puts the bibliography into NWP, but then NWP deletes 2/3 of my document. I even tried doing just a few pages at a time into a smaller document and it still deletes 2/3 of anything beyond 1 page. Doing thi...

I don't think you need to create a new user account.Foxofjapan wrote: ↑2024-03-14 17:45:38 When I select text, "Remove Comments in Selection" is not highlighted, and so I cannot select it.
You mentioned tracked changes, so please try using the menu Tools > Tracked Changes > Accept All Changes.

Re: Crash, Crash, Crash
Hi Mike: I'm very sorry about the crashes. The problem could be a lingering macOS Sonoma incompatibility that we're working to fix. Please try this beta of version 3.4.1 . If you still encounter a crash with the beta, please send in a feedback report via the Help menu after you relaunch the app. Tha...

Re: Keys not working
This issue seems to be a new system incompatibility, specifically with the beta version of macOS Sonoma 14.4. We're still trying to understand what Apple changed.
For now we recommend that you uninstall the beta, i.e. revert your Mac to a stable/release version of macOS. I'm sorry for the trouble!

Re: Languagetool integration?
Nisus Writer can use any spelling dictionary you have (or can install) on your Mac. Your system may already have better German spelling dictionaries. You may simply need to tell Nisus Writer to use them via our language preferences . If you really need to install extra dictionaries, see our FAQ on s...

Re: NWP chrash with Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71
I'm sorry for the crashes Valter. We already communicated with you via email about this issue, which is indeed related to macOS Sonoma. It's an issue we're tracking related footnotes/endnotes. There will eventually be another Nisus Writer Pro software update to address the issue, since Nisus Writer ...

Re: Sonoma compatibility
Also, I have been using version 3.4 in my work, which means a lot of typing, and not a single suggestion has appeared. If predictive were working here, something would have shown up by now. I suspect you are right that this is a MacOS system problem. Sorry to hear it! I would start with the goal of...

Re: finicky font size
Let's start with this aspect before we get to printing: A 70,000 word manuscript that I saved in TNR 12 will only display on the screen in a tiny font size, even when I enlarge it to 18 This is seemingly a contradiction. If you enlarge the font size to 18 points, how can it show in a "tiny font...

Re: Paste without Crash (AppleScript)
Hmm... the release notes for Nisus 3.4 were pretty sparse. Did not mention any SVG changes. Was that part of the general Sonoma bug fix suite? There were a variety of unmentioned system compatibility/stability fixes in version 3.4, but the SVG fix should have been called out separately because it w...

Re: Paste without Crash (AppleScript)
Thanks for the update Al! The crashes were probably caused by a bug related to SVG images, which are not infrequently encountered on certain websites. That bug was fixed with Nisus Writer Pro version 3.4.

Re: Sonoma compatibility
Predictive text also does not work in TextEdit or Pages. Same with a new Nisus document. That definitely sounds like a macOS system issue, but I don't know why predictive text would only work in some apps but not others. Did you double-check to make sure you're using the same keyboard layout / inpu...

Re: Sonoma compatibility
NWP 3.4 is working fine for me except for one thing: I cannot get inline predictive text to work. Predictive text typing should be working in Nisus Writer on Sonoma now. I just tested and had no troubles. You mentioned that it works for you in Apple Mail, but what about TextEdit? That's a closer co...
