text color
I have a document with black text and need to type red text responses/questions. Is there a way to set the red text color to that every time I type something — even in the middle of a black text paragraph — the text is always red?

underline to italic?
I have tried to Find/Replace all underlined words with italic, but cannot seem to make it happen. Is there an obvious way to do this that I'm missing?

Re: Find and Replace footnotes according to Font and Font si
Thank you. I have the "Find" function working so that it locates the different texts. But do I now have to choose "Verdana" and "14" each and every time that it finds the text, or is there a way to insert that into the "Replace" window. I tried going to the Me...

Re: Find and Replace footnotes according to Font and Font si
Yes, my editor requires 14 pt Verdana in order to distinguish my footnotes from the others.
For some reason, your method does not work for me. Thanks, though.

Find and Replace footnotes according to Font and Font size
I have a large document, with two separate kinds of footnotes (in order to distinguish them). What I need to do, if possible, is initiate a footnote Find/Replace that would include only the Font and Font size. Specifically, I need to find all Times New Roman, 14 pt. fonts in the footnotes and change...

Re: BE font
Thank you.
In case I can't resolve this in time, can you tell me if it is possible, using FInd/Replace, to Find all Times New Roman, 14 pt. fonts and change them to Verdana 14 pt? It has to be 14 pt, because there are Times New Roman 12 pt footnotes that can't be tampered with.

BE font
I asked Bookends about this and they said it's probably a style sheet issue. I was wondering how to make the BE inserted, scanned references the same font as the rest of the footnote in NWP? I have scanned with (in BE) Prefs, Scan & Bib, "Bibliographies and Custom Citations-Default font ove...

Re: Trouble with Cmd + Y from NWP to Bookends
There's obviously something goofy going on with my system. I tried the mouse to initiate commands, and no problem. Then I tried the Cmd+Y again and got the beep, no moving to BE. So, I deleted the customized keyboard command, and redid it in Sys Prefs, inserting the "Find Reference" comman...

Re: Trouble with Cmd + Y from NWP to Bookends
Perhaps this is a BE problem, so I have posted to them as well, but I have now set a keyboard shortcut from Nisus to BE, when I'm in a footnote, so that the shortcut takes me from NWP footnote to BE. However, when it switches me to BE, the Find dialog box pops up automatically in BE. Is there a way ...

Re: Trouble with Cmd + Y from NWP to Bookends
OK. I think I've got it fixed. I went to System Preferences, Keyboard shortcuts, and added Cmd+Y to "Find References." Now it seems to work. Not sure why it quit working, as I had never added that shortcut before, but now it seems to move both directions on Cmd+Y - from NWP to BE and back....
