Convert auto-numbered endnotes to "plain" notes
I'm reviewing the manuscript guidelines for my publisher and one thing they are requesting is as follows: "Do not use your word processing program's automatic footnote or endnote function. If notes are necessary, place them at the end of the chapter. Add note numbers manually in the text, using...

And don't forget the triple click selects a whole paragraph, after which dragging will select whole subsequent paras... I've always been annoyed by the whole-word feature in Word as it tends to delete words that I don't want deleted because it automatically selects them. I always turn it off, so I'm...

Feature request: Highlight color names
It would be great to be able to name the highlight colors in NWP. For example I typically try to maintain a color coding of highlights for things like: - Look up the reference on the highlighted text - Reword this - Expand on this - Delete this? This would be similar to how the OS allows you to rena...

I bought NW Express a couple of years ago and felt it was a bargain price. I've been using the Pro Beta since it came out, and just downloaded the 1.0 version. I'm immediately going to pay for it. For me the features are well worth it, and I don't find $45 expensive at all for what it delivers. To e...

Couple of feature requests
Small ones I think, but nice ones: 1. Don't have carats assume the height of line spacing, but the height of the font. Eg if I have a 11pt font but a 2x line spacing, the carat is 2x high as the text. If I'm switching between body and heading styles, I can't tell from the carat height which one I'm ...

Apply templates after the fact?
Hi-
Is it possible to apply a template to an older document? Or do I have to copy/paste into a new doc based on the template and update the styles manually?
Thanks,
Adam

Zoom bug?
Just noticed a behavior with 2.5b3 that I don't recall before: 1. Have cursor inserted in text. 2. Scroll several pages away from where the cursor is 3. Zoom in or out 4. You are back to where the cursor is, rather than staying on the page you were just looking at. Is this a bug? If not, to me it's ...

Hi- I've just been trying the new beta for a few hours and have noticed a few things: 1. Slowness. This is not consistent, but there was one period on one document where I was getting the spinning beach ball for several seconds as I was typing, and even without it the text was appearing very sluggis...

Endnote placement
Hi-
I find it cramps my style a bit to have endnotes jammed up against the bottom of my text. Is it possible to have them sit at the bottom of the page, or to reside on a page(s) of their own? Right now I do it manually by inserting a page break right before the endnotes.
Cheers,
Adam

Window switching shortcut
I agree with Gemboy that the cmd-` for Normal text throws me off as well. It has become standardized by now for switching between windows. Possible to find another shortcut for Normal?
Cheers,
Adam

Underlines appearance
Hi- Underlines (underlined text) in Nisus look fuzzy and gray, with not as much clear space below the actual text. I see this on all monitors with all Macs that I've used. Other apps that use the standard Apple methods of controlling text appearance are the same way, so it's not Nisus specific. Howe...

Got it, thanks. One small interface point on the page breaks: it would be beneficial to have a few pixels visible above the gray box area when it makes the jump to the next page. Otherwise it's not quite clear where's it landed me - am I really at the top of the page? Being able to see the top of th...
