Re: Abbreviations by Typeit4Me
I don’t think you can blame Nisus because Typinator works flawlessly. I suggest you contact the TypeIt4Me developer, Riccardo Ettore. In the past he has been able to troubleshoot similar compatibility issues. (I mention a competing product with great reluctance, and apologies to Riccardo, because he...

Re: Paste without Crash (AppleScript)
Does it solve your problem if you run this AppleScript between copying the web page text and pasting it into NWP?

Re: Typinator expands slowly?
I don’t have this problem. (In Monterey.)
In Typinator Prefs > Expansion, be sure you enable "Enable quick expansion".

Re: Compare Documents macro: Perl syntax error
Thanks, Martin, but that does the opposite of what I wanted, which was to make my favorite macros appear in the top level of the Macros menu instead of a sub-menu.

Re: Compare Documents macro: Perl syntax error
Thanks, Martin. It was my fault. A long time ago I renamed the original macro and moved it into the top level Macros folder, so I never discovered that you had updated and improved the original macro. It seems that when the Macros menu is populated, aliases and symlinks are ignored. Would that be an...

Compare Documents macro: Perl syntax error
The Compare Documents macro at: https://nisus.com/pro/macros/browse.php?category=Document no longer runs because of a syntax error arising from changes in Perl. The fix is to insert a backslash before the left brace { in this line of the macro: $diffRTF =~ s/(?x)({\\colortbl;\\red255\\green255\\blue...

Re: Account data
My experience is that messages inside On My Mac mailboxes display as their Account some random IMAP account, which can be quite confusing. However, I have never seen an erroneous display of the Account for an iCloud account or a non-Apple IMAP account (I have both). You'll have to wait for Martin's ...

Re: Account data
Do you have any "On My Mac" mailboxes? If so, is that where the messages are with strangely displayed account names? (In InfoClick, you can control-click a message and select Open In Apple Mail. The upper right corner of the message in Apple Mail shows its enclosing mailbox.)

Re: Finding document content in the Document Manager
Thanks for your suggestion, Bob, but for clarification, are you referring here to files that were saved as Rich Text Files? If yes, then I have already tried that, but it's a bit tedious; you end up with two open documents, the duplicate and the original file which you need to close to get it out o...

Re: Finding document content in the Document Manager
Locking the file in Finder > Get Info does work. NWP can still see it in the document manager and open it. If you try to modify the file, NWP warns you that it is locked and gives you the option to unlock it or save a copy.

I apologize, Þorvarður. I read your post quickly and carelessly! It sounds like a problem with Spotlight indexing, but you'll have to wait for Martin to help with that.

You also might try using the donation-ware utility Onyx to rebuild the launch services database. It probably will not help, but it is harmless.

Re: The content of Nisus template files can't be found!?
In Preferences > New File, my experience is that NWP treats the specified documents as templates regardless of whether they are DOT or RTF.
Therefore, if RTF files work but DOT files do not, I suggest simply using RTF or ZRTF for the Nisus New File.

Re: From Markdown Macro?
Martin did write a macro that works great. You open a Markdown doc in NWP, run the macro, and it creates a Nisus document in a new window:
